THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TEETH BRACES AVAILABLE FOR TEENAGERS.
Depending on the individuals needs and reasons, some of them may be found in dire need of these devices called braces. People born with teeth that are not well aligned in the mouth are the category of people that need the braces so that their teeth can be straightened and put in the right shape so that they can be comfortable to smile, and also the individuals with the problem of under-bite need this to correct the problem. In the past days, teenagers are the ones who used to get the braces, and it was an easy option, but since even the adult people acquire them, manufacturers have come up with several kinds of braces that have been made available to cover all the age brackets of the people in need depending on their choices.
For the braces to be complete, the thin arch metal wire passes through the bracket, and a ring bonds this bracket to the wire and the ring gets attached to the bracket using a metal band, and all this makes up the elements of the braces that are then attached to each tooth. The full set of the braces on the teeth pushes the misaligned teeth into their position but this does not take a short time, but it can take several years for the teeth to be in their desired position.
The two factors that affect the type of braces to be bought either Invisalign, lingual, traditional meta braces, or the clear ceramic are the dentist’s recommendation and the amount of money the patient can afford to purchase among the four types of braces. The metal braces are the most popular among the teenagers now because they are the most cost effective braces.
The Invisalign braces are uncommon among teenagers and mostly used by the adults despite being expensive, and they are easy to clean and can be removed any time one needs to eat. The lingual braces are invisible because they placed at the back of the teeth as opposed to the other types that are placed in front of the teeth. Finally, ceramic braces which are an upgrade of the traditional metal braces are hard to be identified from a distance because their brackets take the color of the natural teeth, and they need to be properly cared for so that teeth fixing can occur smoothly without any more problems.
Teenagers have different tooth problems, and they also have different tastes for the braces, and this are the two main factors that determine how much an individual or the teenager’s parents are going to pay for the braces, but above all, purchasing should be the step that is taken after seeing a dentist for the teeth examination.
